Day 2

Hehe...welcome back to the nut house. I was very delighted to hear how much everyone enjoyed the first entry. At the request of Catherine I will be informing you all of the inmates traits as well as my sim self's as they appear in the story. Let the fun begin!
It's the start of day 2 and it looks like Min is the first one up who got a full night sleep. I was happy to see him grab a plate from the fridge instead of trying to cook something. That may not be too big of a deal though. My hubby's sim self is brave, a slob, absent minded, good and charismatic. Oh goodie, that means since he's brave he'll put out any fires that start instead of standing around like a dummy just waving his hands all around...hopefully, he's not sleeping if that happens.
Deanna wasn't lucky enough to get a bed last night but she managed to get in a nap. She strikes me as a night owl who likes to plot the demise of others during the wee hours of the morning. She's probably just pretending to read that book. Deanna is insane, over emotional, evil, easily impressed and ambitious. Wow! What a combo. No wonder she was so lethal in the Kendrick's legacy.
Now, Heather probably is really reading that book. Her sim self is over emotional, a slob, a bookwarm, a light sleeper and friendly.
Unlike Min and Heather, Catherine didn't get a full nights sleep but that doesn't stop her from making the bed Aaroc slept in. Catherine's sim self is unflirty, excitable, clumsy, frugal and a snob.
Oh, geesh! I'm sure the waffles were good but were they really that good. He must be after the rich buttery syrup that smeared onto the plate while he was eating. Hey, there's no reason to waste perfectly good sauces just because there's no food left to dab in them.
Eddie's the first of the three night owls that claimed a free bed to catch some z's in when the other sims started waking up. Most of you probably have a good idea what his traits are from my legacy but in case you don't remember he dislikes children, is a loser, has commitment issues, is inappropriate and is mean spirited. So basically, he's every woman's dream man...lol!!!
Oh, noes! I really don't like how the two evil sims in this asylum are getting along so well. I never see them arguing. I have a feeling Aaroc can be quite persuasive with his flirty trait. His other traits are great kisser, genius, evil and athletic. He's not only evil but he's a genius too. Boy, am I in trouble or what!?!
Heather: "What do you mean you don't read books!?! Who doesn't read books? There's books for every personality out there."
Min: "Eh, it takes too much effort to read. I'm lazy."
Heather: "I'm not sure we can be friends anymore."
Min: "But we both like licking plates. At least we have that in common."
Heather: "What if there was a story about people who like to lick plates, would you read it?"
Min: "Hmm, maybe...if it wasn't very long."
Sandra's sim self is absent minded (that explains why she's just standing here), loves the outdoors, is family oriented, a natural cook and friendly. Yay! At least she won't be starting any kitchen fires. If I could designate her as the asylum cook I would, but I can't control anyone except my own sim self so it's out of my hands.
Ah, this is why Catherine was making the bed Aaroc slept in. I wonder why she opted for a nap though. She must not want to miss out on any of today's action. If she got a full day's sleep she'd definitely miss out on some stuff!
My sim self is the last one to wake up and I think she was like the third in bed last night. What a bum! I do love my sleep though :) My sim self is unlucky, hot headed, athletic, loves the outdoors and is a hopeless romantic.
At least someone likes Heather's guitar playing. Oh, wait. Sandra's absent minded so maybe she forgot what she was doing and is just standing there. I'm surprised nobody has stuck the guitar in their inventory yet. Everyone has put it right back where they got it. I'm very pleased. Maybe one of the patches fixed that?
Oopsie...my sim self is running late to work. Not a very good sign this early in the challenge. I doubt she'll be getting a promotion today...
It looks like our evil mistress is getting tired. At least when she's sleeping I don't have to worry about her doing something evil. Now, if only I could stop her from dreaming up evil ideas while she's sleeping.
Heather's drawing quite the crowd. It may look as if Catherine's appalled by Heather's playing but I think that's actually her way of jamming to the tunes. To each their own.
Uh-oh! Is that mac and cheese you're making? That means you'll have to use the stove. Crap! At least Min is awake to save the day if it's needed. Why couldn't he just make a salad or grab a bowl of cereal?
Okay, you're doing great so far. Just stay there and continue to slowly stir around the mac and cheese. Whatever you do, please, please don't start the stove on fire.
All the guitar playing has made Heather hungry! Hopefully, Aaroc will share his mac and cheese with her. Hmm...at least he didn't start the kitchen on fire. That's a good thing. I'm not sure Heather will be wanting any of that though. She is a slob so maybe she won't care.
Min: "Sandra, Aaroc burnt the mac and cheese he was making. Do you think you can make us something else to eat?"
Heather: "Please say yes. I'm starving and don't really like burnt food."
Sandra: "Sure, I'll see what I can do."

Aaroc: "Get out of my way. I need to use the loo."
Heather: "Hey, I was here first. Get in line."
Aaroc: "You snooze you lose, now get out!"
Smart girl! There's no way a kitchen fire can start if you're making what I think you are. Just make sure not to cut your finger off. I wouldn't have a clue what to do if that happened.
Ah, an autumn salad. Perfect! Although, I guess since you're a natural cook you could make anything and a kitchen fire wouldn't start but whatever. You are absent minded though so if forgot what you were doing and wandered off maybe a fire could start.I haven't seen too many of the inmates cleaning but Sandra's always scrubbing away at something. I'm not totally sure why either since she's not a neat sim, but I won't complain. A clean asylum is a happy asylum or something like that.
Alright, so in the original rules there can be one skill building object per skilling ability. The only one the asylum is currently missing is gardening. I decided to allow my sim self one side trip on her way home to take a gardening class and get some seeds to plant. This'll be the only time she visits any community lot except for work purposes. I'm not even sure if any of the inmates will garden autonomously but it doesn't hurt to try. For those who don't know or remember, I get points for every skill each inmate has at the end of the challenge.
Heather is always trying to talk to any inmate who'll listen about her precious books. They really are very important to her apparently. Sandra's too friendly not to let Heather go on and on about them. I wonder if that'll wear her down over time and she'll just snap.
I saw some seeds laying around in the grass on the asylum lot so I had my sim self pick them up. Okay, so maybe the seeds were in the neighbors grass but I can't be sure. It's not like she had to cross the street or anything.
What's so freaky about a star? Don't worry this isn't the sims 2, you won't be abducted, prodded and impregnated by aliens. At least that has yet to be seen.
Heather must have gotten to Eddie. He doesn't really seem like the type to read a book without some real pushing to do so.
Well, my sim self didn't get promoted today but her athletic skill is as full as it can get for the current career level. It never hurts to stay ahead of the game though. Hopefully, she gets a promotion tomorrow because she has the next two days off after that.
Need I say anything at all? I told you she was evil and here's the proof! I wonder what she's plotting...
Heather's back to playing the guitar and Catherine's back to listening to her with a stupid look on her face. I swear she's actually jamming to the music.
Get out of the shower/tub room! There's other inmates that want to use it. Ugh! She'll do anything to make others miserable. I guess this is one way to mess with sims minds.
Min and I snagged the double bed again. I'm so glad we're able to sleep together. I wonder what will happen when my sim self's work shift switches to evening hours. I better not see any other ladies in the asylum snuggling up to him. I may have to start a kitchen fire otherwise. Mwhahaha!!!
Deanna may be evil but she'll never be as strong as my sim self. I'll make sure of that. I may not know the workings of her twisted mind but I'm going to kick her butt if and when the need arises.
Sandra's not the only inmate willing to clean up the asylum even if it's not her mess. I'm glad to see the place won't be a complete mess, because my sim self so does not have time to clean if she's not going to die in this place.
No, don't believe her, Catherine! She's lying to you about all the "money" she has to pay you if you help her out. She's dead broke just like you but she knows you have a weakness for money. Don't fall for it. You have to be smarter then that. Please!
Hmm, I guess this gives new meaning to connected at the hips...
The inmates are going to bed a little later tonight then they did on day one. Heather is the first one to bed after Min and my sim self.
Yes! Thank you, Eddie! Scare Deanna as much as you like. It might throw her off from whatever she's plotting at the moment. I'm so glad Eddie's mean spirited but not evil. He may seek out to hurt your feelings but at least he'll never try to kill you.

I guess Catherine must have heard my pleas because I don't know why Deanna would be scaring her otherwise. That would be a rather stupid move if you ask me. I wouldn't want to help someone that is mean to me, but then again Deanna's insane too. Who knows what she's thinking!?!
Everyone loves the guitar except me! For hours on end the inmates gather around just to listen to whoevers playing the guitar. There's no good photo opts when they do this. Don't they understand that? Geesh! Eddie plays the guitar as the sun starts to rise on day three in the asylum.
